A history which harmonizes success and union
The Cooperativa Vinícola Garibaldi stands out against others for being one of the biggest of the sector, depending on it around five thousand people, as associates, employees and their relatives. It has got an area of 32 thousand square meters and its stocking capacity is 20 million wine litters. Its industrial park has got mostly Italian machines and an advanced technology system in order to have the best receiving and in aid of the crop of its 300 associates.
The union between the producers and the feeling link with the cooperative drove the business and picked on the perception which would be fundamental the professionalism process, the technological update, the qualified management that made Vinícola Garibaldi one of the most important companies in the area it works. With the time goes by, its products started becoming diversified. Since Precioso Juice, one of the most traditional products, known and appreciated nationally, the brands Chalet du Clermont, Merlot Raschiatti, Varietal Acquasantiera, Nachtliebewein, Precioso Muscat and Garibaldi came up.
In the town, known as the champagne capital, Vinícola Garibaldi has worried about producing good sparkling wine as: Garibaldi Rather-sweet and Garibaldi Brut. It still produces the sweet filtered drink Gotas de Cristal, Precioso Grape Fruit Juice and in 2000 the Vino Di Bartolo was launched. One year later, with a new concept about healthy food, it was launched the Organic Dry Wine of Home which nowadays counts on the White Dry Wine, the Grape Fruit Juice and the first Organic Sparkling Wine of the country. Following an innovation line, it was introduced in the market the Acquasantiera Carmenére, Acquasantiera Mild Selection and the Acquasantiera Liquors, as well as the Sweet Filtered Gotas de Cristal Wine without alcohol and the Whole Grape Fruit Juice with Garibaldi brand. In 2006 it was developed a new line of sparkling wine with Garibaldi brand: Chardonnay Brut, Pro-sec, Muscat and the Premium line with Brut, Demi-Sec and the Organic Sweet Sparkling Wine of Home. In 2007, with the celebration of the Second Century of Giuseppe Garibaldi it was developed the Giuseppe Garibaldi Brut Chardonnay Sparkling Wine, with limited production.
Just last year, Vinícola Garibaldi sold more than a million of sparkling wine bottles. This number may be increased in about 15% this year. The company has been investing strongly in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and in the north-east to overcome this aim. The products accumulate medals in different contests in Brazil and in other countries. One of the most important contests was won last year, in which Garibaldi Muscat Sparkling Wine got the golden medal in that, which is the best contest in the world concerning sparkling wine, the Effervescents du Monde, placed in France. With the prize, the company bets in the growing consume of sparkling wine, maintaining its position among the principal winegrowing companies of the country.
In 2008, the company launched a new concept of white wine in Brazil, the Acquasantiera Lorena Active Wine, produced with technology developed in partnership with EMBRAPA grape fruit and wine from Bento Gonçalves, that gives it a bigger antioxidant action, reverting in greater health benefits in comparison to other white wines for sale, (to have healthy benefit, you had better consume two glasses a day). Going on the innovations in its products, it was also launched Garibaldi Muscat Rosé Sparkling Wine, and it was launched for the second time Giuseppe Garibaldi Sparkling Wine, for restaurants and specialized houses.
